This patch is inspired by a woodblock print Kabuki actor Iwai Hanshirō IV as Shigenoi, a Wet-Nurse by the Japanese Edo period master Sharaku. Tōshūsai Sharaku is one of Japan's greatest enigmas whose artistic career lasted only 10 months. During that time, between 1794 and 1795, he produced around 145 woodblock prints in colour.
