Collection: Leona Marie Špačková

Leona Marie Špačková is a Czech glass artist and designer who specializes in working with borosilicate glass. Her work combines precise craftsmanship with organic shapes, creating elegant and functional glass objects. Špačková works with the technique of shaping Simax glass tubes over a burner or using a glass lathe. In this way, she creates various objects, such as hanging vases from the Bacule collection, drinking glasses, and liturgical utensils. Her work is characterized by a combination of functionality and aesthetic lightness, often linking traditional symbolism with modern expression. One of her significant projects is the production of liturgical objects for the pilgrimage church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Neratov. This project, called "Glass for Neratov," involved the creation of a chalice and other liturgical objects that combine the purity and fragility of glass with a spiritual message.
