The English-language guide Prague Uncovered by the Mapamátky collective takes you to places you might walk past every day – but whose stories may have eluded you until now. The book features 70 modern and contemporary buildings across 17 Prague neighborhoods, ranging from Art Nouveau houses to Brutalist icons and contemporary architecture. Each is accompanied by a photograph and a short text explaining why the building is interesting and how it fits into the city’s story. This isn’t a classic tourist guide. It’s more like a little cheat sheet for architecture lovers who want to discover Prague beyond just Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. And of course, it includes buildings in our beloved Vršovice. <3
